Ever find yourself lost for words, or your tongue in a bit of a twist?

That need no longer be the case, especially if you're poet who's looking to get into spoken word performance in the Derby area.

Twisted Tongues Scribble Sessions are monthly, open to all (no sign-up required) workshop events for poets to learn new skills, hone their craft and network with like-minded creative individuals. Each facilitated session focuses half of its time on writing & editing and half of its time on performance techniques. The sessions are friendly, inviting and informal, suitable for established writers and performers or as a first entry point for those interested in spoken word poetry.

Twisted Tongues Scribble Sessions take place on the last Tuesday of every month, with the next event on Tuesday 23rd February at The Alan Bates Room at Derby Theatre, from 4.30pm to 7pm

For more information, find us on Facebook at ‘Twisted Tongues Scribble Sessions’. And why not join us that evening for ‘Twisted Tongues 13’, Derby’s freshest spoken word night at The Old Bell Hotel, Derby from 7.30pm.

Tickets on the door £1 for students, £2 for everyone else.
