Ross has been heavily involved in local theatre in the East Midlands for the best part of 20 years, performing and producing with Long Eaton Operatic Society and Erewash Musical Society as well as treading the boards with the award-winning Fourblokes Theatre Company, Carlton Operatic Society, The Cast and Rolls Royce Operatic Society. He has also worked with companies in London and in 2003 played the part of Caiaphas in the Chester Mystery Plays.

Further afield, Ross was also a member of the Cardiff-based Animal Workshop Theatre Company with whom he toured and performed at a number of outdoor festivals including Glastonbury before playing the part of Commodore Matthew Perry in Nottingham Festival Opera's production of Stephen Sondheim's 'Pacific Overtures' which won the 2002 Waterford International Festival of Light Opera. Ross has also performed in three plays at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and worked for a number of years as a teacher of Drama and Media Studies.

One of Ross's proudest moments came in 2014 when Long Eaton Operatic Society's production of 'Me & My Girl', a show that he had produced, won the 2013 NODA Hinks-Cole Trophy for best show in the Midlands.

When not on or around a stage, Ross is busy as a copywriter and the co-founder of Downstage Centre!
